Engineer's Planning Log

The Engineer's Planning Log facilitates voyage and event record keeping and is linked to the Engine-Component maintenance module.  Two views are offered (Standard and Planner), the standard view is illustrated at left.

When used in the standard view mode the Engineer's Log may be used as a current activity log.  You may enter Departure and Destination information and the Voyage Notes can contain a detailed description of the vessel's activity for the period.  (Note:  The Departure Date may not be a greater value than the Destination Date.)

If Planner Mode is chosen you may enter the Departure and Destination information of a proposed voyage.

The Planner automatically displays Engine-Component task(s) that will be due (aged by time) during the proposed voyage, thereby providing a method of predicting maintenance procedures that will come due.

Should you need to restructure a maintenance task to accommodate a maintenance scheduling conflict (like a Lube Oil Change while underway) you may jump directly to the appropriate Task Due by single clicking anywhere in the appropriate row.

When printing or previewing log entries you will be presented with a date range populated by the current log entry, but the range of dates can be easily changed (double-click, to invoke calendar, "+" or "-", etc.)  Engineer's Planning Log reports can optionally include Maintenance Tasks due (Planner Data) during the report period.
